WHAT WE DO

The LAW OFFICES OF JIMMIE L. JOE is a full service law firm concentrating in estate planning, trust and probate administration, estate and trust litigation, asset protection, conservatorships and guardianships. We are committed to providing the highest level legal services while maintaining a highly personalized approach. We evaluate a client’s particular needs in order to address the most efficient manner to achieve wealth preservation and distribution. We customize and tailor a client’s estate plan to achieve goals identified after a thorough and comprehensive interview. Our personalized approach continues after the interview as we work closely with our clients until a customized estate plan is achieved which will carry out a client’s goals for estate planning and wealth transfer. We also assist clients in the administration and settlement of an estate so that distribution can be achieved in the most time efficient manner as allowable by law.

Our services include the following: drafting wills and trust documents, including generation skipping tax planning; evaluating and implementing the strategic role of life insurance in estate planning, including the use of irrevocable trusts; representation in probate and conservatorship proceedings, including contested matters; planning for future incapacity or death; evaluating the role of family limited partnerships and limited liability companies in transferring wealth and minimizing estate taxes; preparing estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns; minimizing asset exposure to creditors; transition planning for passing closely-held businesses to the next generation; charitable giving, including the formation of charitable trusts.
